News: Pedestrian struck, injured while crossing street in Fort Lauderdale
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Police are investigating an accident that injured a pedestrian in Fort Lauderdale Friday night.
According to WPLG, the incident occurred in the area of West Sunrise Boulevard and Northwest 24th Avenue. A man attempting to cross the street at that intersection was hit by the driver of a red convertible, witnesses said.
One witness who tried to help the victim said he had been badly injured, but no further information was immediately released on the man’s condition.
Video from the scene showed the car involved had significant front-end damage. There was no word on the location or status of the driver involved.
