News: Pedestrian struck and killed by Brightline train in Hallandale Beach
HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – Police are investigating a fatal railroad accident in Hallandale Beach that happened Tuesday evening.
According to WPLG, a Brightline train struck a pedestrian in the area of South Dixie Highway and Hallandale Beach Boulevard.
The pedestrian, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No foul play is suspected as investigators try to determine why the person was on the tracks at the time. Authorities are reviewing surveillance camera footage from the area to find further evidence about the incident.
