News: Pedestrian found dead after Oakland Park hit-and-run crash
OAKLAND PARK, FL – The Broward County Sheriff’s Office is nvestigating the death of a pedestrian in what is being called a hit-and-run crash.
In a news release, the sheriff’s office said deputies responded to a call of a woman lying in the westbound lanes on East Commercial Boulevard in Oakland Park early Monday morning at about 1:42 a.m.
Upon arrival they found the victim, 55-year-old Concepcion Siverts of Lauderhill, with injuries indicating she had been struck by a vehicle.
Siverts was pronounced deceased at the scene. An investigation into the incident is ongoing, and anyone with information was asked to contact the Broward Sheriff’s Office or Broward Crime Stoppers.
