News: Passenger killed when car crashes into tree off I-95 in NW Miami-Dade
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – A car accident on Interstate 95 in Miami-Dade County early Friday morning left one person dead and closed a portion of Interstate 95.
According to WSVN, the driver of a Lexus sedan was heading north on I-95 near Northwest 125th Street at about 1 a.m. and swerved to avoid debris on the highway.
The driver lost control of the car, went off the road and crashed into a tree on a shoulder of the interstate.
A passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver was not injured.
The northbound lanes of I-95 were shut down for the crash investigation, causing major traffic delays through the area.
