News: Passenger dead, driver injured after vehicles collide on I-75 south
HIALEAH, FL – State troopers said a man died after two vehicles were involved in a collision on Interstate 75 south early Monday morning.
According to WPLG, the accident occurred on I-75 in the vicinity of Northwest 154th Street near Hialeah at about 1:10 a.m. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that a Toyota SUV and an Acura sedan collided as both were headed south on the highway.
The Toyota driver lost control and crashed into a barrier wall, and the vehicle overturned. A passenger in the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was seriously injured and was transported to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital. No other injuries were reported.
The FHP is investigating the cause of the crash.
