News: Motorcyclist dies after collision with van near Boca Raton
BOCA RATON, FL – A van and a motorcycle were involved in a fatal collision in Palm Beach County on Saturday afternoon.
According to WPTV, the incident took place on Highway 441 near Boca Raton at about 2:55 p.m. Authorities said a man on a Harley Davidson motorcycle was going south and tried to make a left turn into the Sandalfoot Square Plaza. The motorcycle turned into the path of an oncoming Ford Econoline van.
The motorcycle hit a raised a median and the rider was ejected from the bike. The motorcyclist, identified as 57-year-old Dale Patrick Bard of Waterbury, Connecticut, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the van, age 74, was not injured.
