News: Miramar family displaced after driver crashes into their home
MIRAMAR, FL – A Miramar family was displaced when a car crashed into their home on Monday morning.
According to WSVN, the driver lost control of a Toyota sedan and slammed into the home on Southwest 21st Street shortly before noon. No one inside the house or in the vehicle was injured in the accident.
The driver reportedly said it happened when someone with a gun signaled him to stop, and he sped up, drove around a garbage truck, and ended up hitting the home.
A support beam damaged in the crash caused the house to become uninhabitable, according to city building inspectors.
Miramar police are continuing to investigate the incident.
