News: Miami-Dade police searching for driver who struck man riding bicycle
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – Miami-Dade Police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a hit-and-run driver.
Police tweeted information regarding the incident that occurred July 31 in the area of Northwest 64th Street and 12th Avenue at about 3 a.m.
A man riding a bicycle, 58-year-old Luis Maqueira, was struck by a vehicle, and police said the driver left the scene without stopping to help. Maqueira sustained critical injuries in the incident and remains hospitalized.
Anyone with information regarding the crash was asked to contact Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers, with a reward of up to $1,000 offered for information leading to an arrest.
