News: Man walking on I-95 in Miami-Dade fatally struck by hit-and-run driver
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – A driver fled the scene after a crash that killed a man on Interstate 95 Monday morning, state troopers said.
According to NBC Miami, the victim was walking on I-95 south near the Golden Glades interchange in Miami-Dade when he was struck by a vehicle at about 6:45 a.m. The man, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver kept going following the incident, but no information has been released yet on the vehicle being sought.
I-95 south was closed to traffic after the crash and drivers were advised to avoid the area while the scene was being cleared.
Anyone with information was asked to contact the Florida Highway Patrol.
