News: Man dies after driving off I-95 in Miami-Dade, crashing into tree
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – State troopers were at the scene of a deadly crash in Miami-Dade County early Wednesday morning.
According to WPLG, the accident happened as a man was driving a Mercedes-Benz sedan on Interstate 95 north at about 4:40 a.m.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the driver lost control of the vehicle near Ives Dairy Road, went off the interstate and slammed into a tree.
The driver, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger was transported to Aventura Hospital and Medical Center, but no information was released on the injured person’s condition.
The wreck led to the closure of all northbound lanes of I-95 except for the express lanes. The FHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
