MIAMI, FL – Police say they have made an arrest in connection with a deadly hit-and-run crash that occurred early Monday morning in Miami, WPLG reported.
This is an update to a previous story.
The victim, a man in his 40s, was hit while riding a bicycle in the vicinity of Northwest 12th Avenue and Northwest 51st Street at about 6:45 a.m. He was pronounced dead after being taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital.
The vehicle that hit him was described as a black Nissan Rogue with severe front-end damage. Later Monday, police arrested 35-year-old George Luis Amparo and charged him with leaving the scene of a crash resulting in death.
