News: Lanes closed along Palmetto Expressway in Miami Lakes following fatal wreck
MIAMI LAKES, FL – A car accident in Miami Lakes left one person dead and disrupted traffic on Wednesday morning.
According to WSVN the incident happened on Northwest 57th Avenue near Northwest 167th Street, where a Chevy mini-van and another vehicle collided at about 6 a.m.
The identity of the person who was killed was not immediately released.
The crash shut down the lanes on Northwest 57th Avenue going to the eastbound entrance of the Palmetto Expressway, causing backups in Miami Lakes. The closures lasted for several hours.
The Florida Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation into the fatal wreck.
