News: Investigation underway into Miami Beach helicopter crash that injured 2
MIAMI BEACH, FL – Federal officials are investigating a helicopter crash off the coast of Miami Beach Saturday afternoon that left two people injured, CBS Miami reports.
The Robinson R44 helicopter came down near the shore near Ocean Drive and 10th Street at about 1:20 p.m. The incident was captured on video released by the Miami Beach Police Department.
Three people were on board the helicopter. Two passengers were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition. The pilot was not injured.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the cause of the crash, which shut down portions of the beach area.
The FAA said the helicopter is registered to HD Aviation Services in Pembroke Pines.
