News: Police investigate Oakland Park hit-and-run that killed pedestrian
OAKLAND PARK, FL – Investigators are trying to track down the driver responsible for a crash that killed a pedestrian in Broward County last week.
According to WPLG, the victim was hit by a car while crossing North Andrews Avenue in Oakland Park at about 11 p.m. on Jan. 14. The pedestrian, 59-year-old Nancy Vasquez, was pronounced dead at Broward Health Medical Center.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office said the driver did not stop to help Vasquez after the incident, and was last seen by a witness heading north on North Andrews Avenue.
Traffic homicide detectives are investigating. The vehicle being sought was described as a 2013-2015 black four-door Honda Accord EX.
