News: Hit-and-run crash in Fort Lauderdale kills man in wheelchair
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Police in Fort Lauderdale said they are investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a man in a wheelchair.
In a news release, police said the incident took place Saturday night in the 900 block of South Federal Highway at about 10:11 p.m.
Investigators said the victim, identified as 58-year-old Robert Brisebois of Fort Lauderdale, was in the northbound lanes of the roadway when he was struck by a vehicle. Brisebois was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver did not stop to help after the crash and fled the area heading northbound.
Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident was asked to contact Fort Lauderdale police or Broward Crime Stoppers.
