News: FedEx driver critically injured in Miami-Dade truck accident
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – A FedEx driver was hospitalized following an accident involving his truck in southwest Miami-Dade Thursday, reports WPLG.
The accident happened as the man was delivering packages along his route in the area of SW 58th Street and SW 97th Avenue at about 3:20 p.m.
When the truck failed to start, investigators said the driver began working on it and the vehicle started rolling forward. The 34-year-old victim was pinned underneath the truck and was dragged along the roadway, authorities said.
Bystanders helped extricate the driver, who was taken to the hospital and listed in critical condition. His name has not yet been released.
