News: Elderly man killed in SW Miami-Dade hit-and-run crash
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – Police are searching for the driver responsible for a fatal hit-and-run incident in southwest Miami-Dade County Monday morning, according to WPLG.
Responding police officers discovered the victim in the roadway on Krome Avenue and Southwest 192nd Street at about 5:30 a.m. The man was identified as 78-year-old Rafael Duyos Jr., who was struck as he was trying to cross the street.
The vehicle believed to have hit him and left the scene was a 2007 Nissan Sentra that has front-end damage. Miami-Dade Police detectives attempted to find surveillance footage that might provide clues into what happened, and searched the scene of the crash for further evidence.
Anyone with information about the incident was asked to cotnact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers.
