News: Elderly man dies after 4-vehicle wreck on I-95 in Oakland Park
OAKLAND PARK, FL – Authorities are investigating a crash that killed an elderly man in Oakland Park Sunday morning, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, four cars were involved in the incident on Interstate 95 near Oakland Park Boulevard. The FHP said one driver had stopped in the right northbound lane of I-95 at about 6:15 a.m., with two other drivers slowing down or stopped behind him.
The driver of a fourth vehicle that was going northbound changed lanes to avoid traffic and ended up crashing into one of the other cars that stopped. A 75-year-old man from Aventura was killed in the crash, state troopers said. His identity was not immediately released.
No one else was injured in the incident.
