News: Elderly driver killed in Palm Beach County collision
GREENACRES, FL – An elderly driver was killed in a two-vehicle collision in Palm Beach County last week, according to a report by WPTV.
The accident occurred Thursday in the vicinity of Silver Buttonwood Drive and 10th Avenue North in Greenacres. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said 79-year-old Suzanne McClellan of Palm Beach Gardens was behind the wheel of a Nissan Maxima when she made a left turn from Silver Buttonwood Drive onto 10th Avenue North.
Investigators said the Maxima entered the path of a Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck and the vehicles crashed.
McClellan was pronounced dead after being taken to Wellington Regional Medical Center. The 24-year-old Greenacres man driving the pickup was not injured.
Investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol were contributing factors in the wreck.
