News: Dump truck driver killed in accident on Florida’s Turnpike in Hialeah
HIALEAH, FL – State troopers say an accident on Florida’s Turnpike Wednesday morning left a dump truck driver dead.
WPLG reported the driver lost control of the vehicle in the turnpike’s southbound lanes near mile marker 39 in Hialeah at about 6 a.m. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the truck crashed into a barrier and overturned.
The driver was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released.
Authorities are trying to determine the cause of the crash.
