MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – A search is underway for a driver who left the scene after a fatal pedestrian accident in Miami-Dade County, WPLG reports.
The crash happened Saturday in the area of Coral Way and 112th Avenue in the University Park neighborhood. A witness told WPLG the victim had just left a gun show and was crossing the street when he was struck by a white two-door Mercedes-Benz.
The witness said the driver took off heading west on Coral Way. The name of the pedestrian was not released.
Miami-Dade Police said they are now looking for a 2015-2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe with extensive front-end damage, that is missing a passenger-side mirror cover. Anyone with information about what happened was asked to contact Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers.
