News: Driver loses control of vehicle, slams into Miami seafood restaurant
MIAMI, FL – Police are investigating a crash at a Miami restaurant Friday evening that left five people injured.
According to WSVN, the incident happened at the Don Camarón Seafood Grill at 501 Northwest 37th Avenue at about 6:30 p.m. Witness accounts stated that the driver of a Nissan Altima lost control of the vehicle, went through a field and struck a parked van before crashing into the side of the restaurant.
The driver and four other people were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. They were listed in stable condition. Authorities said the driver may have suffered a medical emergency prior to the accident.
The restaurant was shut down after the building was deemed to be unsafe.
