News: Driver killed when car crashes into shopping center in Pembroke Park
PEMBROKE PARK, FL – Authorities are investigating an accident at a Broward County shopping center that left a driver dead.
According to WPLG, the crash happened Sunday morning in Pembroke Park. Witnesses reported that a woman driving east on Hallandale Beach Boulevard between 40th Avenue and 48th Avenue lost control of her car.
The vehicle went airborne and crashed into the shopping plaza. The driver, whose identity was not released, was ejected from the car and died at the scene.
Six parked cars and a storefront were damaged in the incident.
The Broward County Sheriff’s Office shut down Hallandale Beach Boulevard for several hours while the scene was being cleared.
