News: Driver killed in rollover accident on Interstate 75 near Weston
WESTON, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol said a driver died in an SUV accident on Interstate 75 early Sunday morning.
According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, the man lost control of the vehicle while driving south on I-75 near Royal Palm Boulevard in Weston at about 5:25 a.m.
The SUV went onto the shoulder of the interstate, back into the southbound lanes, and then rolled over several times.
The driver, a 47-year-old man from Lauderdale Lakes, was thrown from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not immediately released. The FHP said he was not wearing a seat belt.
State troopers are investigating the cause of the crash.
