News: Driver killed in head-on collision in NW Miami-Dade
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – One driver was killed and another was injured in a head-on collision in northwest Miami-Dade early Monday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
According to WPLG, the incident took place on Okeechobee Road near 178th Street at about 1:45 a.m.
The FHP said the driver of an SUV was going south in the northbound lanes of Okeechobee Road when he crashed into a Dodge sedan near mile marker 18.
The man driving the Dodge was pronounced dead at the scene. The SUV driver was taken to Kendall Regional Medical Center. No details were released on his condition.
All northbound lanes of Okeechobee Road were shut down for the crash investigation.
