News: Driver injured when car slams into school bus in Palm Beach County
LAKE WORTH BEACH, FL – A driver was injured when a car collided with a school bus in Palm Beach County on Wednesday morning, WPTV reports.
Palm Beach County Fire Rescue responded to the scene on 6th Avenue South near Interstate 95 in Lake Worth Beach. No details were immediately released on what led to the crash.
Emergency crews removed the roof of the car and extricated the driver, who was flown by helicopter to an area hospital. The driver of the school bus and one student who was on board the bus were not injured.
The incident took place on the first day of the school year for public schools in Palm Beach County.
