News: Driver injured in cement truck accident in west Miami-Dade
MIAM-DADE COUNTY, FL – Authorities said a driver was hospitalized after a cement truck crashed Monday morning in west Miami-Dade County.
According to WPLG, the incident occurred in the vicinity of Southwest Eighth Street and West Loop Road at about 5 a.m.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the driver lost control of the truck, causing it to hit a guardrail and overturn.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and extricated the driver, who had been trapped inside the truck. The driver was taken to Kendall Regional Medical Center with what were described as traumatic injuries.
Rush-hour motorists were advised to avoid the area while the crash was being cleared.
