News: Driver flees scene after Miami crash that injured 2 pedestrians
MIAMI, FL – Police said a driver struck two pedestrians in Miami Saturday morning before leaving the scene, according to WSVN.
The incident happened at South Miami Avenue and Southwest 7th Street in the city’s Brickell neighborhood.
Police said a driver lost control of an SUV and hit the two pedestrians, then crashed into the front of a store at about 1:30 a.m.
The victims, two men in their 20s, were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where they were listed in serious but stable condition.
The driver of the SUV fled the scene on foot after the incident, according to police. 7th Street was closed between South Miami Avenue and Brickell Avenue while investigators worked the scene.
