News: Driver arrested after crash causes power outage near Vero Beach
GIFFORD, FL – A driver was arrested following a crash that caused a power outage in the community of Gifford near Vero Beach, authorities said.
WPTV reported the situation involved a man driving a Dodge Charger who was being chased by deputies Friday morning. According to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office, he was speeding and going through multiple red lights before crashing into an electrical box. The collision knocked out power to a traffic light at Indian River Boulevard and 53rd Street.
The sheriff’s office said the driver, identified as 42-year-old Warren Bradshaw of Miami, continued to elude deputies until he was eventually apprehended.
He now faces multiple charges, including leaving the scene of a crash causing property damage, driving without a license, and fleeing and eluding.
