News: Car plunges into NW Miami-Dade canal, leaving 2 people hospitalized
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – Two people were hospitalized after their car plunged into a canal in northwest Miami-Dade County Saturday morning.
According to WPLG, the car went into the water in the vicinity of Northwest 118th Avenue and Okeechobee Road.
Authorities said a Good Samaritan who was driving by the scene saw what had happened and pulled a woman from the water. She was on an embankment of the canal by the time firefighters arrived.
Divers then went in and pulled a man from the car. Both victims were transported to a hospital, where the man was in critical condition while the woman was listed in stable condition.
There was no immediate information on what may have led to the crash.
