News: Car crashes into police vehicle at Pembroke Pines traffic stop
PEMBROKE PINES, FL – Two people were hospitalized after a car slammed into a police vehicle in Pembroke Pines early Sunday morning.
According to WPLG, the incident happened after two police officers had completed a traffic stop on Pines Boulevard near Northwest 136th Avenue at about 2 a.m.
The driver of a Toyota crashed into one of the marked police vehicles that was stopped in the road, causing a collision that also involved another vehicle.
The driver of the Toyota was seriously injured in the wreck. That woman and a passenger in her vehicle were transported to Memorial Regional Hospital.
The two officers, who were not inside their vehicles at the time, sustained minor injuries from flying debris.
