News: Car crashes, catches fire on North University Drive in Tamarac
TAMARAC, FL – Traffic in Tamarac was slowed when a car crashed and caught fire on Tuesday morning, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported.
Broward County Sheriff’s deputies and Tamarac Fire Rescue responded to the scene near the 8200 block of North University Drive at about 5 a.m.
No one was inside or outside the vehicle when authorities arrived, and it was unclear whether anyone had been injured in the crash.
All northbound lanes of North University Drive were shut down from Northwest 78th Street for several hours while the wreckage was being cleared, and drivers were advised to seek alternate routes. The crash remains under investigation.
