News: Car crash outside store in Oakland Park leaves driver dead
OAKLAND PARK, FL – A driver was killed in a car crash in Broward County Wednesday night, reports WPLG.
According to the Broward Sheriff Office, the driver of a white Infiniti went off the road on Oakland Park Boulevard at about 11:30 p.m. and slammed into a tree outside a Goodwill store in Oakland Park.
The impact caused the vehicle to catch fire. Authorities say bystanders came to the scene to try and rescue the driver, but the victim was declared dead. The person’s name has not been released.
An investigation is underway into the cause of the crash.
