News: 64-year-old bicyclist dies after being hit by SUV in Delray Beach
DELRAY BEACH, FL – A bicyclist died of his injuries after being hit by a sport utility vehicle last week in Delray Beach, WPTV reports.
This is an update to a previous story.
The victim was a 64-year-old man who is believed to have been homeless, according to Delray Beach police. The SUV, a Jeep Grand Cherokee, struck him in the area of Germantown Road and Homewood Boulevard last Thursday night at about 6:30 p.m.
The driver left the scene after the accident but was located later by police. He told officers he knew that he had hit something but did not realize that he had struck a person.
The victim’s name has not yet been released.
