News: 1 driver killed, 2 others hurt in multi-vehicle crash on Florida’s Turnpike
WEST PALM BEACH, FL – One driver was killed and two others were injured in a multi-vehicle accident on Florida’s Turnpike Sunday, according to WPBF.
The Florida Highway Patrol said a woman was driving a sedan southbound near Donald Ross Road just after noon when traffic came to a stop and she slammed into the back of an SUV. The SUV then crashed into a third vehicle.
The sedan driver, a 57-year-old woman from West Palm Beach, sustained fatal injuries. The driver of the SUV, a 70-year-old Pembroke Pines man, was seriously hurt. The driver of the third vehicle was a 29-year-old Sunrise man who sustained minor injuries.
The FHP is investigating the cause of the wreck.
