News: 1 bicyclist dead, 1 injured after being hit by car at Jupiter intersection
JUPITER, FL – One bicyclist was killed and another injured when they were struck by a car at an intersection in Jupiter Monday night, police said.
According to WPTV, the incident happened as the two were attempting to cross Loxahatchee Drive at Indiantown Road at about 7:15 p.m. Witnesses said they were hit by a white sedan.
The man who died was identified by his brother as 30-year-old Tomas Cali, a father of three. The other rider was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center in serious condition. Tomas Cali was on his way home at the time, his brother said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Jupiter police.
