Hickey Law Firm handles all types of personal injury claims and really under that umbrella what I am including there are: Personal injury claims. Wrongful death claims. Someone dies as a result of negligence of another. Medical malpractice claims, and really kind of a separate category are maritime claims or cruise ship accidents. Accidents on cruise ships can be personal injury, wrongful death, and medical malpractice as well, so we handle the gamut of that and I have 27 years experience in handling these claims; the first 17 years for the cruise lines, insurance companies, and railroads, and for the last 10 years for the people who are injured. Some of the injuries that we handle just to name a few are injuries involving the knee, for example. I have been involved in total knee reconstructions, as well as people who have injured their knee so badly, they need a knee replacement, ankle reconstructions, hand and wrist reconstructions and injuries. We have represented folks who, for example, physicians, chiropractors who have injured and fractured their wrists and hands to the extent that it really limits their practice. We have been involved in rotator cuff tears, very severe, involving multiple surgeries. We have been involved in neck and back injuries and surgeries, some which have, ended in or resulted in fusions of a great deal of the neck and the back. So we have really represented people in a large number of orthopedic injuries. I know the medicine, we use medical illustrators for all of these injuries in the orthopedic realm. Outside the orthopedic realm, we have represented folks, and I have a specialty in representing folks, with traumatic brain injury. This can be mild, moderate, or severe injury. It can also be closed head injuries where there is no skull fracture or it can be open skull fracture or open head injury, so we have done and have experience in all of these injuries.
